PrintDreams behind a more versatile printer

New printer accessory takes into new heights the usability options of a handheld inkjet printer: The Xyron^® Design Runner™ which is a pioneer printer product featuring PrintDreams technology that defined the beginning of a new era within the printing industry.

The new accessory, called XDR PC Link Programmer Kit is the ultimate upgrade for a handheld printer known as the Xyron^® Design Runner™ launched by the Esselte subsidiary company Xyron Inc. a couple years ago. The new accessory gives users full freedom to upload virtually any type of content from an ordinary PC into the handheld printer converting it into an ideal all-around labeling instrument and digital stamp.

New application areas include quick sticker-free labeling of storage boxes, folders, binders, CDs, clothes, printing addresses into envelopes of any format and size, stamping documents and much more.

Prior to the release of the XDR PC Link Programmer Kit, users found themselves limited to the content that was factory-installed in a certain range of Design Discs offered separately by Xyron. It has also been possible to create text phrases with the Design Disc Maker™, -another accessory also engineered previously by PrintDreams for Xyron.
However, now with the XDR PC Link Programmer Kit, users are able to access whatever clipart, photos, images, fully formatted text or other content available in their computers or the internet.

The newly developed XDR PC Link Software allows users to create text entries of basically any size and length utilizing any font already installed in their PCs. The software also allows users to grab any image or color photo to automatically create a design suitable for monochrome printing with the Design Runner. Hundreds of designs can be saved into a single disc file which can then be burned via an USB-dongle into a re-writable disc for exclusive use with the Design Runner. Both the USB-dongle and the re-writable disc are included in the programmer kit.

PrintDreams has decided to make the XDR PC Link software free available for download from its website, thereby allowing users to get to know the software and discover its ease of use prior to purchasing the hardware.
